Overview

The Document Generator module in the docuWeaver application provides efficient generation of documents in Word or PDF formats. This module supports document creation from Salesforce records, enabling the inclusion of both related data (with lookups) and unrelated data (without lookups). Additionally, it facilitates sending the generated documents via email to specified recipients.

Features

1. UI-Based Data Selection: Configuration the data source for document generation does not require SQL or SOQL knowledge. Data selection is performed through an intuitive user interface, eliminating the need for query language expertise.

2. Support for Related Data with or without Lookups: Multi-level related data can be included in generated documents, supporting both related and unrelated objects. This allows aggregation of complex data structures, even when direct lookup relationships are absent

3. Conditional Fields for Dynamic Content within Document Templates: Fields and data sections can be made conditionally visible within document templates. This enables dynamic content rendering based on specified criteria, ensuring that only relevant information appears in the final document

4. Document Generation in PDF and Word Formats: Documents can be generated in both PDF and DOCX formats

5. Preview of Generated Documents: A preview feature is available, allowing review of the document before final generation. This ensures accuracy and correctness prior to generation.

6. Automatic Attach of Generated Document to Records: Generated documents can be automatically linked to Salesforce records, streamlining record management and ensuring all relevant documents are accessible from within Salesforce

7. Multiple Post-Generation Actions: Automated post-generation actions are supported, such as uploading the generated document to an external server with a link to the corresponding Salesforce record or triggering an automatic download of the generated document.

8. Sending Generated Documents via Email: Generated documents can be sent via email directly from the application, with options to use custom email templates and to include dynamic content from records.

9. Generation Using Predefined Templates: A library of predefined templates is available for document generation, enabling quick setup and consistency across generated documents8.

10. User Selection of Templates During Document Generation: During the document generation process, templates can be selected from a list, allowing for tailored document creation based on the specific requirements of each use case
